We have started preparation for our upcoming test scheduled on September 8th for all three classes. In the kids and youth class, each week we are concentrating on one basic movement out of six in time for the test. The adult class also started Kenshu class on Saturdays for extra brown belt training. It is very important to attend as many classes as your schedule allows.

Time has been set aside in each class for students to prepare for their next (or first) test. Everyone is encouraged to use this time wisely. In the next few weeks, the instructors will be deciding whether or not a student is ready for their next belt.

Please understand that no competitions are held in aikido. We believe the best way to gauge success is by developing one’s abilities through hard work. Talents can only take you so far if one’s intrinsic character lags behind. But with the correct attitude, focus and dedication, improvements will compound over time and success will be inevitable. Hence the the symbol of a new belt represents the student has employed the correct attitude and made sufficient progress.

Focus on growth and improvements. Are you making progress day after day?

Happy training everyone! Allow the training in aikido to polish your character and bring you closer to your personal success.

Hi Kevin sensei and Flo sensei,

We are on vacation and Thomas will be back on next week. So he can’t attend a class this week.

    Thank you. Tomoko
