Good day everyone!

Lots are happening in Aikido Del Mar. First of all, we want to give our appreciation to each and everyone of you for making Aikido Del Mar a part of your life. We truly appreciate all the support from the parents and students for making our dojo such a welcoming place to be.

We have just completed week two of bokken training with the Aiki-Kids Elite Team with just a few selected individuals. To be a part of the Elite Team, each student must demonstrate a sincere desire to learn, a willingness to stay focused, and the ability for superb self-control. We are looking for more candidates to qualify, so please show us through your action if you wish to be a part of the elite team.

Yesterday we also completed our first Cartwheel and Handstands workshop conducted by a former Cirque du Soleil teacher/performer.  Several students really had to face their fears yet they took the plunge anyway. We were also pleasantly surprised to have a few parents on the mats to learn with us. Needless to say, everyone did a fantastic job holding a smile upside down. We have posted the pictures in our google+ so check it out!

Our next test date is tentatively scheduled for mid-April. We will post more details in the next few weeks.

Happy training everyone!

    Hello, great photos!

Just FYI, local school are on vacations on April 5th-13th…we are away, and likely a few others may be away at that time. Hopefully, it is possible to take this into account when scheduling the test,

    Thank you,

    Freedmans
